Alicemare (Alice's Nightmare) is a very unusual game, a mixture of a visual pixel novel and a quest, where players are invited to play as an ordinary boy who has experienced tragedy and finds himself at a crossroads..

The game's plot tells the story of a boy named Allen. The day before, he experienced tragedy, lost his parents and found himself in this vast and very unpredictable world. He eventually finds himself in a shelter school with five other children, and now lives there, trying to overcome the aftermath of tragedy. And just when things were getting good, something happens - a talking butterfly invites Allen into the world of dreams, where the first characters he meets offer to find the keys to Dreamworld stolen by a cat. That's where it all starts to get interesting. Adventures, a huge number of visual puzzles, dialogues with various and sometimes very strange characters, puzzles and much more await you. 

As for Alicemare's gameplay, it's based on three traditional mechanics. The first of these, is an exploration of a vast pixel world overflowing with various characters, monsters, challenges and dangers. The second mechanic, however, is the solution of numerous puzzles - in order to solve most of them, it is necessary to look for objects and not only. And the third mechanic is communication with characters, dialogues, in the course of which you will make different decisions.

The game's greatest virtue, however, is that your every action will have consequences. In the end, all your actions will lead to one of seven endings. The first six endings happen randomly and don't rely too much on action, but there's a seventh, secret ending. 

Otherwise, it's a typical pixel quest. Explore the world, solve problems, communicate with NPCs, and most importantly, recover the keys to the Dreamworld by traveling through the minds of your friends.
