Heaven's Vault is a beautifully drawn quest in which you will set off into distant space to find a missing archaeologist and explore the strange ancient ruins of long-defunct civilizations..

Despite the fact that the game is positioned as a quest, it is a visual novel where you have to go to the space as a girl-archeologist to explore some Nebula. This Nebula is a separate world in which you will find the ancient ruins of a civilization that disappeared long ago. But the ruins are only half the battle - it's more important that you decipher the hieroglyphs that you'll have to decipher throughout the game. 

By the way, the storyline main character named Alia Elasra went to the Nebula for a reason, and not alone. The fact is that shortly before the events of the game her friend and colleague disappeared in one person, and his traces led here. Aaliyah, on the other hand, is determined to find a friend by all means. But she has decided to go on a journey not on her own, but with the support of the robotic helper Six.

As for the gameplay of Heaven's Vault, it revolves around endless exploration of a vast seamless world. This world, like ours, consists of different regions - here you have forests, bodies of water, wasteland, and even entire settlements, though empty, dusty and long abandoned. Traveling through the locations, you will find the letters written in the ancient language of hieroglyphs, and you will need to decipher them. Moreover, the process of decoding is interesting - by picking and guessing, you will compose whole words and little segments of syllables, and in the end will receive valuable guidance and hints. 

At the beginning the process can seem a little boring, but in time it will intrigue you with its non-linearity and unpredictability, and then you will not be able to tear yourself away from the game.
