The plot of the game revolves around a soldier named Bitterman, who as part of a special group is sent on a special mission straight to the planet Strogg. But upon arrival on the planet, the group encounters superior enemy forces, and the protagonist himself finds himself near an outlying strogg base. There the hero connects with the commanders and begins to carry out various tasks.

But the main advantage of Quake II is that in comparison with the first part, the second mission became more diverse and interesting. The command entrusts the protagonist with a variety of missions.
