The events of the game take place on the Earth, that was starting to be ravaged by mysterious Plague that appeared out of nowhere. Something is killing people, and the doctors need at least something that might give them a chance to create a cure. Well, the only way to find it , is to go down into the mysterious pit that was left deep in the mountains after the representatives of a more advanced civilization landed there. Well, that's exactly where you'll have to go. But don't think this expedition will be easy - Believe me, during this journey you will be tested to the fullest.

As for the gameplay, so it is in the Sword of the Stars: The Pit is based primarily on tactical battles and passing small locations. The whole game world here consists of many locations, connected only by short corridors, tunnels, and you have to explore each of these locations. And in each of them there will be something new waiting for you: somewhere you will have to fight with monsters of earth interior, somewhere rats will start attacking the main character from all sides, and somewhere even a robot can appear and try to kill you. There are a lot of variants, and each time the game will throw up something that you will not be delighted with.
