A visual novel is a genre of computer games, a subtype of text-based quest in which the viewer is shown a story through the display of text, static or animated images, and sound and/or music accompaniment. Often the insertion of full-fledged video clips is also used. The degree of interactivity in these games is usually low, and the viewer is only rarely required to make certain choices, in particular - to choose an answer in the dialogue, and then not always. The characters in these games are usually made in the style of anime, which is not surprising.
